Ceding of Kirjasalo

The North Ingrian Volunteer Army marched into the territory of Finland

On Sunday, December 5, in accordance with the terms of peace between Finland and Soviet Russia, our troops left Kirjasalo to the Bolsheviks. This day became an unforgettable stage in the struggle for the freedom of Ingria. Our picture shows the march of the Separate Battalion of North Ingria from Kirjasalo to the Finnish side over the Lipola Bridge. The Separate battalion was honorably accepted into the Käkisalmi Regiment.
