The Soviet-Finnish front are stabilized at the end of summer 1944. It not reached to Sortavala. The peace negotiations began. Interim peace is signed in Moscow at September 19, 1944. Finnish troops began to withdraw to borders of 1940.

The evacuation of inhabitants began. At September 22, 1944 the last refugees echelon abandoned a Sortavala railway-station.
